Suffering in All its Manifestations

"In our choices we give priority to those who are forgotten, those who are wounded in their human dignity and those who are in greatest need of hearing the Good News.

"God's will is revealed to us in various ways:  through events, the calls of the world and of the Church, the people around us and our own gifts and limitations.  In our broken world, God speaks to us particularly through the cry of the poor." (Constitutions, 1989)

In all of this, our desire is:

  • to be present there where fundamental human rights are violated in order to act with others to defend and promote justice.
  • that our choices lead us to work in networks, within our different societies.
  • that wherever we live and find ourselves, we continually evaluate our ways of being, integrating reflection and action.
  • to discover, to listen to and to accompany the signs of hope and solidarity present in those who suffer and in all those to whom we are sent.
